I thought it may be handy for some people to read some recommendations of what I think you should do when you visit Disneyland Paris.
- Eat at Earl of Sandwich
Now, I’m a ‘plain jane’ kinda girl so I do only get a ham sandwich from Earl, but let me tell you, that ham sandwich is the best ham sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. It’s a cheaper option for a meal, with a lovely view and has many different options of sandwiches and snacks! The quality of Earl has always been so great when I’ve visited, and I will be going to the one in WDW as soon as I can! It makes me sad that there isn’t an Earl of Sandwich near me…
- Walk to and from your hotel
Granted if your hotel is one of the closer ones to the park, you probably would walk anyway but I recommend taking a stroll in the morning and evening going to and from your hotel and parks. It’s relaxing and you get to see a bit more of the other hotels. Winter you may prefer to get the bus but summer, I defo recommend having that relaxing walk!
- Have a giant Mickey cookie
Every trip to DLP this is a must for me. The cookie is pretty big, and you could probably share it (I try not to because its that good…) but for the price I think it’s so worth it! It keeps me full for ages and really hits the spot. It’s the best cookie I’ve ever had. Go try it!!!
- Take time to rest
Even though Disneyland Paris is a small park, it is still tiring, and you can be nonstop busy. I’m not one to take a rest because I see it as wanting to get my money’s worth and do as much as I can. But it’s true, sometimes you do need to have a break. I found that sitting down the side of the shops on main street really relaxing. If you time it right, I loved taking some time out while the parade was on. Also, it can be nice to take some time to take everything in and be grateful that you’re in Disney.
- Where to stand for the fireworks
From my experience, I have found that standing by the barrier where the grass and flowers are is the best spot, simply because no one can stand in front of you and so you don’t have to worry about heads being in the way! For me this is good because I’m so small haha!
- Go up Alice’s Tower/Castle
The maze is a good activity to do at DLP. Kids love it but even adults will enjoy trying to find their way around. But the best part I think is going up Alice’s tower/castle to see the view of the park. It can get crowded since it’s quite small but it’s worth going up and taking some photos!
- Shopping during the day
I’d recommend this purely because walking through the Disney Village during the day is normally pretty quiet! If you want to have a good look, try bits on or purchase goodies, then doing it while everyone is in the parks is your best bet! Its nice to shop at night time once the park is shut but its so packed that it isn’t as enjoyable.
- Coin souvenir
A cute souvenir which doesn’t cost the earth! I love getting these coins, I normally get the one with the year on so I can look back and remember what years I went. Last time I went it was only 2 euros so isn’t bad and the coin is so shiny and great quality!
